《Awakening》為笙、擊樂和舞者組成的音樂劇場，在主創者李俐錦試圖以「模糊音樂家與舞者的表演界線」為發展核心下，作曲家劉韋志使用線譜、文字譜及圖形譜，為作品精細設定，標題分別為《生》、《無常》、《苦》、《無我》和《滅（涅槃）》的五個篇章爲骨幹，由音樂家李俐錦、周新純，舞者周寬柔、吳志維，以及肢體、動作和燈光的創作者，共同充實與完整其血肉，並期待藉此「有機生成」之作品，迴盪出觀眾的生命中，某些幽微淡然、無以名狀，甚或值得聲嘶力竭的時刻。
The leading creator Li-chin Li used “Blurring the performance boundary between musicians and dancers” as the core of the work’s development.
The composer Wei-chih Liu used line staff, text score and graphic score as the work’s basic setting. The performers (Li-chin Li, Hsin-chun Chou, Kuan-rou Chou, Chi-wai Wu), dramaturg (Ding-yun Huang), body movement designer (Kuan-rou Chou), and lighting designer (Yu-quan Lin) co-created this organically generated work.
